Job DescriptionOne of my best clients is looking for Electrical Field Service Engineers focusing on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting the company's machinery at customer locations. The role involves extensive travel throughout the US and Canada with occasional international travel.What You'll be doing:
- Install new machinery that requires electrical wiring, system start-up, commissioning, and diagnosis.
- Take the lead to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing equipment.
- Provide expert guidance and training to operators and maintenance teams on troubleshooting and equipment upkeep.
- Perform preventive maintenance, audits, and servicing on machinery.
Experience and skills you need to have:
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least three years of experience in a similar electrical service or maintenance role.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- You must have demonstrated expertise in electrical controls, wiring, PLCs, motors, and drives.
- Competency with computer-based control systems and a basic understanding of networking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in urgent situations.
- Willingness to travel frequently across North America. This is a 90% traveling role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer interaction.
- Remote but must live near a major airport.
