JOB SUMMARY

Sallyport Global Holdings is seeking an Electrical Foreman. The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing and establishing the purpose of coordinating electrical maintenance program(s) and related activities; supervising assigned skilled trades people; implementing and maintaining electrical maintenance services within established guidelines and standards; and performing skilled electrical maintenance as needed. The Electrical Foreman reports directly to the Electrical Superintendent.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assign tasks and inspect the work of electricians and their assistants, ensure safety training and code compliance.
  • Locate and repair defects in the electrical systems, identify/repair Life, Health and Safety (LHS) issues.
  • Review accuracy of all completed SOR paperwork.
  • Estimate and order supplies and materials necessary for employees to complete assigned work.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance and repair of low voltage electrical power distribution systems and equipment in all facilities including interior lighting circuits and equipment; receptacles; motors and motor control circuits; circuit breakers and fuses; along with all wires and raceways.
  • Be able to diagnose electrical malfunctions and recommend repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment and advise on special interior purpose electrical system installations and repairs.
  • Conduct surveys of proposed work to determine man-hours and materials required and prepare a cost estimate for assigned work.
  • Conduct periodic surveillance of construction projects to ensure maintainability as well as pre-acceptance inspections of electrical systems and document any findings.
  • This position does include supervision, training, and mentoring of US/Foreign National and Local National employees
  • Perform other duties assigned by Electrical Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) and/or British Standard (BS 7671).
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License (or higher) is required for US national applicants or proof of training/competency or certificate of completion from Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of electrical experience in the construction and maintenance of facility electrical systems.
  • Two (2) years of which were in a lead/supervisory capacity with emphasis in industrial electrical applications.
  • Knowledge and skill in safe operation and application of instrumentation to include but not limited to circuit testers, power analyzers, ground rod resistance meters, ground fault loop impedance testers, and residual current device testers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, instructions and other technical documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Prior Military and or AFCAP/LOGCAP experience.
  • All employees must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in the construction, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems or a combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS

  • Physical requirements may include lifting to 35 lbs., team lifting 50 lbs., climbing, extended sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, or bending.
  • Individuals must be able to sit and concentrate for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear all appropriate/required Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE).
