JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor Department: Maintenance Supervisor: Maintenance Manager JOB PURPOSE The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs of electrical systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY - Routine maintenance of plant, equipment, machinery
- Diagnosing breakdown problems
- Directing and/or instructing Maintenance Electricians
- Familiar with standard maintenance methodologies, equipment design, installation, and project management Oversee day to day operations of the maintenance department
- Recordkeeping
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Routine scheduling maintenance work and reviewing completed work for expected outcome
- Must communicate with supervisors and coworkers
- Supervising projects while working hands on with team
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Establish working relationships with union
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.)
Education/ Required: 4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience.
Licensure/ Credentials Required: Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years' experience directly related to a manufacturing environment as an Electrical Supervisor.
Experience Required: At least 7 years' experience with electrical maintenance.
Special Knowledge/ Skills Required: Equipment installation and preventative-predictive maintenance knowledge. Able to read blueprints and technical documentation with understanding process operations and maintenance. Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, and CAD Systems.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Employee will receive job specific training including safety, work rules, ethics, compliance, computer system, and other related topics.
EVALUATIONS Performance evaluations will be completed by the immediate supervisor by ongoing assessment of proficiency and performance.
