Electrical Maintenance Technician - Staffing Solutions Enterprises : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Electrical PLC Technician for a well-known and established company in Akron, Ohio. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing both low and high-voltage industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment.

*Pay Rate:$36.00 - $38.00 per hour

*Shift: 2nd and 3rd (Two openings)

*Location: Akron, Ohio, 100% Onsite, Direct Hire

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and installation of low and high-voltage industrial electromechanical and control systems for utility and production equipment.
• Document existing and new equipment, including control and power system installations.
• Assist in the development, implementation, repair, and maintenance of the plant's instrumentation, control, and electromechanical systems.
• Reload and reboot PLC systems to restore faulted equipment after power outages.
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to identify causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, examining their form and texture to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repair electrical and mechanical equipment, replace defective parts, and lubricate and clean parts as needed, in accordance with food and beverage manufacturing quality system practices.
• Install special functional and structural parts in devices and conduct performance tests.

Qualifications:

• A one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A state electrician license is a plus.
• Complete understanding of industrial electrical systems, including DC and AC voltage.
• Proficiency in electrical installations, including conduit and wiring practices.
