We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Technician to work a shift and handle electrical and mechanical maintenance in our RTH and Dry rice packaging plant. Strong experience, technical knowledge, and communication skills are essential for this role.The role will be reporting to the Maintenance Lead and will be based out of Houston, Texas.Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and switches, to identify issues and repair or replace as needed.
- Install electrical systems, wiring, and equipment according to specifications and electrical codes.
- Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and repair techniques.
- Interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Address emergency repairs promptly to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and industry practices.
Qualification:
- 2 year Associate degree in Electrical Technology
- Proven experience as an electrical mechanic or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Certification or licensure in electrical work may be required depending on jurisdiction.
- Knowledge of PLC programming will be an added advantage
