JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

We are seeking someone who is skilled in both electrical and plumbing duties. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems. Candidate must be able to diagnose and repair electrical wiring problems in a variety of situations, such as outlets, lighting, and electronic equipment connections. In addition, the successful candidate must have experience performing repairs on different piping systems, snaking drains, fixing leaks, installing pipes and general plumbing duties. Our ideal candidate should be able to work independently to troubleshoot issues, make the repairs, and test the systems to ensure they work correctly, has at least two years of professional experience and has a good working knowledge of both electrical networks and plumbing systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Review and execute job orders daily.

* Identify electrical problem areas that need replacement or repair.

* Perform repair or replace wiring when necessary.

* Troubleshoot and ensure that the electrical system is working properly.

* Install or replaces conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.

* Diagnose plumbing problems and perform repairs.

* Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures.

* Locate and repair water line leaks and remove clogs.

* Install and/or repair items such as water heaters, toilets, sinks, etc.

* Test plumbing and other installed fixtures to ensure proper function.

* Maintain and store tools and equipment properly.

* Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes.

* Other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

* Proficient with electrical and plumbing standard industry tools, materials, equipment, and techniques.

* Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings.

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

* Working knowledge in piping and ventilation systems.

* Working knowledge of electrical theory.

* Available to work on-call and respond immediately to electrical and plumbing emergencies.

Working Environment

* A portion of work takes place in both indoor and outdoor settings in extreme temperatures including heat, cold and temperature swings and inclement weather. Subject to sunburn and other sun exposure related incidents.

* Work may include response to emergency situations, some weekends, holidays and some after hours.

Physical Demands

* Must possess the ability to access remote sites that may require climbing and traversing rough terrain, possibly in all weather conditions.

* Must be able to sit, stand or walk for significant periods of time daily. Required to reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

* Lift and/or carry, pull, push or drag up to 80 pounds.

* Must possess general manual dexterity to operate computer, equipment, tools, controls or other objects; reach with hands or arms.

* Must be able to use step stools and ladders to store and retrieve items of various sizes, shapes and forms.

* Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail.

* Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

* Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

* Must be able to hear clearly when working around equipment and traffic.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. This position could require longer hours or call-outs on weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel could be expected.

Education/Experience Required

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Completion of an electrician/plumbing program at a vocational school or an apprenticeship preferred.

* Current electrician and/or plumbing license preferred.

* 2+ years of electrician/plumbing experience preferred.
