Job Location : Houston,TX, USA
The Senior Electrical Project Engineer is part of the Fleet Engineering department reporting to the Electrical Systems Manager. This role will be 100% dedicated to this new build project. The candidates work location will be a combination of work from home, our Houston office and from the project office in Philadelphia, PA. This function will require extensive travel in the USA and occasionally international (Europe).
PLEASE NOTE:
The position offers challenge, variety and the opportunity to be involved in the construction of a DP2 rock Installation vessel which will be equipped with the latest technology on automation, Dynamic Positioning, power electronics, VFD systems, power distribution & generation systems, battery storage & energy efficiency systems and maintenance management systems.
The successful candidate will have excellent project engineering skills with demonstrated capabilities in project management, budgeting, scheduling, reporting and coordination with shipyards. Specific knowledge of electrical systems in marine environment, system integration, regulatory requirements & approvals, industry standards and work methods are key for successful execution of new build projects. The successful candidate should for that reason be an expert in the field of electrical system preferable for DP2 offshore applications and have experience with the electrical part of ship building. For a successful execution of this new build project the candidate will interface and work closely with the Company's New Build team, Fleet Engineering teams, Offshore Wind team and IT.
