Our client is looking for a Technical Product Specialist who can use their knowledge of the electrical industry to be a technical conduit between contractors and their factory. In this role, you will use your knowledge in the electrical field to answer questions from contractors calling in to discuss their products.What you will do:- Be responsible for actively driving and managing the specification evaluation stage of the sales process- Establish and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors and engineering firms throughout the sales cycle,- The Technical Sales Specialist would be responsible for working directly with the contractor and end user to identify cross-selling and up-selling company technical services and solutions- Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests- Interface with product management to offer value-added solutions- Manage a funnel of opportunities, leveraging CRM and industry tools like Dodge- Support Sales Managers and Reps with technical data, take-offs, and competitive material cross- Maintain contacts and sales activities in Salesforce.com- May support or assist in quoting- Generate, deliver, and close transactional quotes on behalf of Sales Managers and Reps- Assist the Sales Managers in creating, updating, and executing formal and informal presentations to electrical contractors, end-users, and specifiers- Able to travel (10%)Salary DOE, medical benefits, and so on.
