Pay: $95-102k Total Compensation

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for performing operation, maintenance and repair of interior and exterior electrical systems in accordance with the performance work statement such as primary and secondary distribution systems, HV switchgear, transformers and receptacles, etc. The qualified candidate will work with a team of OM&R personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shall inspect, maintain and repair electrical switch gear, power cabling and transformers up to the point of connection to local Kuwaiti utilities.
  • Shall inspect, operate, maintain, and repair electrical distribution at voltages that range from 120v -11KV.
  • Shall mark all electrical equipment, motors, and panel boxes to meet the requirements of the National Electrical Code.
  • Shall be able to properly use technical orders, manufacturers handbooks, local procedures, codes and directives to install, repair equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Shall advise on, diagnose and repair electrical power distribution and special purpose electrical systems installation malfunctions.
  • Shall complete and maintain records and inspection reports.
  • Ensures all work areas are kept clean, orderly and in a safe manner.
  • Follows all OSHA and NFPA safety requirements.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government property provided for contractor use (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
  • Completes training in compliance with company, OSHA, and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
  • Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a minimum of three years' of electrical/power production experience and be capable of interpreting, and following blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
  • Must hold a degree or certification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License and able to drive with a manual transmission.
  • Must have capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line drivers license.
  • Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge.
  • Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
  • Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft programs such as Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Detail oriented with strong manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
  • Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
