We are searching for a team player to join the OCC team as an Electrician Supervisor who will be tasked with ensuring the facility electrical supply and infrastructure is operating fully at 100% 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This position supports the Department of Correction's mission to improve public safety and providing safe communities by ensuring the facility electrical systems provide the maximum electrical output to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for the incarcerated individual population. The Electrician Supervisor also ensures a safe and comfortable working environment for facility staff and vendors, and a safe and comfortable environment for facility visitors. As an Electrician Supervisor, some of your duties will include:
- Supervising adult male incarcerated workers performing electrical repairs (work orders) or installing electrical parts and equipment in accordance with National Electrical Code which could include:
- Planning and executing electrical maintenance tasks such as inspections, diagnostics, repairing, maintenance, modification and installation of all electrical equipment and systems
- Maintaining, repairing and installing all lighting systems to include incandescent, metal halide, high pressure sodium and fluorescent types of various voltage ranges
- Operating, repairing, inspecting and maintaining motor control systems, automatic control system, switch gear and pump motors
- Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and installing electrical power for refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and heat pump systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing of emergency generators electrical components, high voltage lines and generator transfer switches
- Planning and conducting preventive maintenance on essential electrical equipment and systems to look like:
- Determining the scope of work, materials needed, and their cost and availability review designed electrical construction drawings and details for installation, inspection, testing and final completion of for operations/startups
- Scheduling and coordinating dates for arrival of supplies and equipment in accordance with established completion schedule
- Ordering materials and maintains inventories of required materials to support operations
- Daily Tool Accountability, Inventory, FTCM logs and Incarcerated Individual accountability
- Conducting Incarcerated Individual Orientation and Safety Training
- Providing coverage for other trades
- All other duties and assignments as directed by the Plant Manager
Qualifications What we need (required qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Washington State EL01 License/Certificate issued by the Department of Labor and Industries
- Valid Washington State Driver's license

Telework Details This position may be allocated for telework. Work may be performed from your home or another offsite location within the state of Washington using a reliable internet or cellular hotspot service at that time. Vacation (Annual Leave) Full-time employees accrue vacation leave at the rates specified in (1) or the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Part-time employees accrue vacation leave hours in accordance with (1) or the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA) on a pro rata basis.
