This position is responsible for insuring the integrity and safe working condition of all shop and billboard mounted electrical components/systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Installation and repair of wiring and conduit within the scope of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
* Repair and maintenance of electrical fixtures and control equipment. (Time Clock)
* Able to set and program time clocks.
* Planning for new or modified installations to minimize waste of material, provide access for future maintenance, lock all disconnects when leaving sign.
* Install equipment such as lighting fixtures, relays, ballast, breakers disconnects circuit breakers and fuses.
* Use the lock out tag out method.
* Identify and promptly report any unsafe conditions observed.
* Understanding of LED lighting and billboard mounted digital displays
* Maintenance of billboard mounted digital displays, including repairs.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT:
Climbing and working at elevated heights in different weather and heat conditions sitting, walking, standing, speaking, hearing, reading, kneeling, lifting, carrying a minimum of 50 lbs., multiple concurrent tasks, frequent interruptions, verbal and written communication, detailed work and confidentiality.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Safety harness with lanyard and other personal protective equipment, various ladders, a multi-meter to determine voltage, power tools and hand tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have 2 years minimum electrical experience
* Ability without fearing to climb and work safely at elevated heights, 60ft or more.
* Read blueprints and schematic.
* Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems.
* Electrical candidate should be a licensed electrician or be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to meet the definition of a qualified person in a sign/billboard work environment.
* Must have experience working with voltages from 120 to 240 single and 208 three phase.
The salary range for this role is $19-$23/per hour. Compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate's experience and skills relative to internal peers and market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position, and collective bargaining agreement terms.
