VideosDuties Evaluates the operational characteristics by observing and analyzing program code, voltage/current/power indications, computer registers, instrument readings, logic and electronic/electrical schematics. Troubleshoots electronic sub-systems and components with numerous remote units whose functions must be coordinated by use of interlocking signals over Ethernet IP or other industrial communication protocols. Provides technical advice and consulting support to engineering personnel as new complex systems are planned and installed. Performs mechanical and electrical disassembly, repair, modification, reassembly, and adjustment tasks related to proper operational control and system upgrade tasks. Facilitate the purchase of all necessary equipment and component parts Tests, analyzes, repairs, reconstructs, and reprograms a wide variety of highly complicated electronic, Automatic Data Processing (ADP), and electro-mechanical equipment, and specialized integrated and programmable logic control systems and components. Working Conditions: Work is performed under shop conditions in an adequately lighted, heated and ventilated warehouse. Subject to loud noises, heat, cold, fumes, dirt, grease and the possibility of cuts, bruises, and injury when using tools and testing equipment. There is the hazard of electrical shock and bums from high voltage currents. Incumbent may be required to work outdoors. Physical Effort: Work requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping and sitting for extended periods of time working in cramped and/or awkward positions.
