Supply Chain Management Consulting, LLC is a leading consulting firm in the Aerospace & Defense industry, specializing in supply chain optimization. We seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electronic Quality Inspector to join our team. As an Electronic Quality Inspector, you will ensure that electronic components and products meet quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and testing of electronic components and products
- Verify product conformity to quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements
- Use measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to perform dimensional inspections
- Perform visual inspections to identify defects, imperfections, or irregularities
- Record and document inspection results and findings
- Identify and report non-conforming products or materials
- Follow standard inspection procedures and work instructions
- Assist in the development and improvement of quality inspection processes
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety guidelines and practices
- Measures product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the manufacturing specifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in mechanical and electronic assembly inspection
- Previous experience as an Electronic Quality Inspector or similar role
- Knowledge of electronic components and their quality requirements
- Experience with quality inspection techniques and tools
- Understanding of quality standards and regulations in the Aerospace & Defense industry (e.g., AS9100, J-STD-001 soldering and IPC-610)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and engineering drawings, manufacturing operation sheets for detailed parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in using measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with inspection software or systems is a plus
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification is a plus
