JOB SUMMARY: The Electronics Assembly Technician will be responsible for the manufacture, assemble and perform repair service on electronic components and products. Additional responsibilities will be to build and test products while in a manufacturing environment and perform any type of labor that may be required by the Production Supervisor in support of the local facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Light electronics production assembly including hand soldering
  • Inspect materials produced by the manufacturing team for shipment to customers
  • Provide feedback to plant operations personnel, product management and Quality Engineer/Manager on all issues concerning product manufacturing and operation
  • Support company safety and environmental policies
  • Support shipment and receiving of materials and goods produced
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
  • Complete bills of lading and be familiar with various forms used or required by the major freight carriers
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School Diploma or GED required, trade school certificate or equivalent preferred
    • 2 plus years of light duty soldering of electronic components on PCB experience required
    • 2-3 years prior electrical/electronic schematics reading experience required
    SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    • Strong communication (verbal and written) and time management skills required
    • Computer skills/experience preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred
    • A high degree of reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are critical attributes for this position
    • Technical writing skills for work report submissions is a plus
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
