- School and Clinical Experience
- LCSW and LSSW certifications preferred
- Current valid Colorado license with appropriate endorsement(s)

REPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS JOB DESCRIPTION: The following statements of essential functions and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending on building assignment and other factors determined with supervisor and/or building principal. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates and consults with administration, Ute Pass BOCES, counselors and teachers on all student needs.
- Works in collaboration with the MTSS team to support positive solutions to problems and interventions for all students.
- Flexibility to work with a wide age range of students and staff persons throughout the school district.
- Meets and participates in District-wide mental health professional learning meetings.
- Provides crisis intervention services regarding child abuse, suicide/threat assessments and family emergencies.
- Maintain liaison between community resources and partnerships.
- Participates in or leads required training and meetings at building and district level.
- Completes FBAs and BIPs, Conners and BASC as part of the IEP process
- Completes IEPs and attends IEP meetings as a service provider
- Completes and supports mental health based 504s and attends 504 meetings
- Participates in groups and individual behavioral care for students on an IEP, 504, or in Tier 3 interventions
- Maintain professionalism, maintain confidentiality and have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or building principals.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE and TRAINING:
- Knowledge of brain development and its importance to student learning
- Experiences with both Threat and Suicide Assessments
- Knowledge and experience with Psychological diagnosis and preferred treatment modalities and Psychotropic medications and their effects and side effects
- Symptoms of physical, emotional and mental abuse in children
- Tier ll & III Academic and SEL interventions
- Suicide and threat assessment training
- Restorative Practices and Trauma informed practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all stakeholders
