ELIGIBILITY SPECIALIST (Part-Time)JOB SUMMARY: Employee will be responsible for receiving and interviewing applicants for the Public Housing and/or Housing Choice Voucher Program housing assistance, explaining housing programs available, screening applicants, processing applications, verifying information and determining eligibility of applicants. Performs a variety of related administrative tasks and clerical work.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Associate's degree in Business, Social Work, or related field, plus two years interviewing experience in a position with a public agency, social service agency, or equivalent public contact office. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Four years' experience in an equivalent field, or any combination of training, education or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to use computers required. Must speak English and Spanish. Must be able to pass required certification exam for continued employment.Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Drivers License and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
