• Assessing and triaging patients as they arrive in the emergency room.
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' vital signs and other relevant information.
• Communicating with the healthcare team to ensure the patient receives appropriate care.
• Performing diagnostic tests and procedures as necessary.
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to create a patient-centered plan of care.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying up-to-date with new practices and protocols.
• Adhering to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety guidelines.
• Documenting patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
• COVID vaccination required.

Candidate requirements

• Active and unrestricted RN license.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program, typically resulting in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Prior experience working in an emergency department or critical care setting, ideally with a minimum of two years of experience.
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge and skills in assessing, triaging, and providing emergency care to patients with a wide range of medical issues.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Continuing education and professional development to stay current with new practices and protocols.
