Urgent opening for a Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in the Emergency Department for the New York location.*Responsibilities** Assess and treat patients presenting with acute medical conditions and injuries in the emergency department.* Perform necessary medical procedures, including administering injections and botulinum toxin treatment when indicated.* Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.* Conduct thorough evaluations using medical imaging and other diagnostic tools to determine appropriate treatment options.* Maintain infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections.* Provide inpatient care as needed, including managing patients in the ICU when required.* Participate in educational activities, including teaching residents and medical students about emergency medicine practices.* Stay current with advancements in medical terminology and emergency care protocols.Emergency Medicine Experience Required. May be either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Would work in triage. An emergency Medicine physician would be on-site.· Assignment Dates: December 2024 - March 2025, with potential for ongoing coverage needs. 156 hours per month.· Schedule: May vary.
