Emergency Room Tech - First Connect : Job Details

1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Perform basic assessments including monitoring and recording vital signsEPIC documentation, EKG machine, IV starts, Phlebotomy draws, Vitals machine, Patient care for ADLs as necessary Work as a team with the nurse to provide safe patient care. The Emergency Department (ED) Technician provides direct patient care support under the supervision of medical and nursing staff, ensuring effective, compassionate, and efficient emergency services. An EMT licensure is required for this role, as it ensures proficiency in clinical skills necessary to assist with patient care in a high-paced ED environment.2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC documentation, EKG machine, Vitals machine and heart monitorRequired skills and minimum years of experience. 1 year of experience as EMT or ED Tech Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) National Registered EMT and BLS Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Only ED and CDU Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 39 total (10 of those CDU) Dress Code: Scrubs
