They can help you bring your impact to a whole new level.As a Director within the Empire Plan network contracting team, you'll guide the development and support of provider networks as well as unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis, and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:Guide development of geographically competitive, broad access, stable networks that achieve objectives for unit cost performance and trend managementDevelop and execute strategies for a function or discipline that span a large business unitApply network configuration and value-based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiencyDirect 6 contractors to resolve problems that affect multiple functions or disciplinesDirect work that impacts entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)In this influential, high-impact role, the emphasis will be on setting strategy and working across a matrixed organization to achieve desired results. The environment is demanding, so you will be changing priorities often and reacting to the needs of the marketplace and clientYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:8+ years of management experience in a network management-related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results5+ years of experience developing network provider pricing and utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions5+ years of experience with provider contracting4+ years of transformational people leadership experience including building strong culture and employee development and mentoring 3+ years of experience developing and managing a medical cost budgetExpert level of knowledge of Medicare Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS), Diagnosis Related Groups, Ambulatory Surgery Center Groups, etc.*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyNew Jersey or New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
