Account Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
Overall Client Management:
- Support clients' employee benefits administration and assist with questions, claims, and billing issues. Escalate issues to the appropriate level if necessary.
- Coordinate the annual renewal and open enrollment process.
- Organize and participate in client presentations, including employee education/enrollment meetings.
- Lead the process of benefits plan implementation, including case submission, prepation of employee education materials, plan enrollment and follow up to a successful conclusion.
- Assess client needs and identify opportunities to increase sales of agency services.
- Inform clients of current market conditions and ongoing benefit regulation changes.
- Work closely with Producers on ongoing issues.
Technology:
- Maintain agency management system for ongoing record keeping and client management.
- Utilize various benefits administration systems to support clients' employee benefit enrollment.
- Work in insurance company portals to process employee enrollments, terminations and changes.
Licensing:
- Maintain Louisiana Life and Health Insurance license.
Other:
- Perform other duties as requested with regard to operation of an independent insurance agency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 or more years customer service preferred.
- Life & Health License preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office environment, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with agency management systems or other client management systems is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Critical thinking and good judgment to quickly determine and prioritize key issues.
