Job Description New exciting opening for an Employee Benefits Analyst in our central Long Island location. The right candidate will have prior experience in the Employee Benefits industry with exposure to RFP process, Underwriting and cost analysis design. The primary responsibilities will be preparation of RFP's, thorough review of vendor proposals, compiling marketing results, preparation of financial cost analysis for client presentations, as well as renewal evaluations for assigned accounts. The role will work with both our internal team and broker/carrier partners and must diligently follow work-flow process for all assigned accounts. Candidate must be a team player, yet able to operate independently. We are looking for an extremely detailed and organized individual, with strong data analytic skills, and ability to deliver on multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work well under pressure is vital to the success of this individual. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Marketing Support: o Collaborate with brokers to understand the needs of new or renewing employee-sponsored medical and ancillary plans. o Scrub and organize Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission. • RFP Management: o Distribute RFPs to appropriate carriers and manage all correspondence and follow-ups. o Review and compare carrier proposals to confirm they align with the requested specifications. • Analysis & Reporting: o Create detailed, side-by-side comparison spreadsheets of carrier proposals. o Conduct financial analyses, including breakdowns of cost structures and savings opportunities. • Broker Support: o Serve as a point of contact for brokers throughout the RFP process. o Provide insights and explanations regarding carrier proposals and financial analyses. • Organization & Documentation: o Maintain accurate and organized records of RFPs, proposals, and communications. o Ensure timely delivery of completed proposals and analyses to brokers. Qualifications: • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data organization and analysis. • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple RFPs simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in proposals and data. • Effective communication skills for interacting with brokers and carriers. • Experience in employee benefits, medical, or ancillary insurance plans preferred.
