Employee Experience Manager

Location: Santa Clara, CA

As the leading student-first connected learning platform, our mission at Chegg is to help every student achieve their best, in school and beyond. We're looking for someone who is highly creative, has a demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs, understands and translates data to make informed decisions, and can embody our mission and support our employees who are working to help students thrive.

Chegg's Employee Experience team is seeking a Manager, Employee Experience to join our team. This role is built for a utility player; driving initiatives to improve and deliver a top-notch employee experience, managing org-wide engagement surveys, deriving insights from HR data across sources, and delivering a best-in-class recognition program. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to “roll up” their sleeves in a dynamic environment and manage multiple programs at once, partnering with the team on strategic planning through tactical execution. This biggest impact will come from someone who can put their mark on these programs and build upon their existing success. This role reports to the Director, Employee Experience and will be a hybrid role based at our Headquarters office in Santa Clara, CA.

In this role you will:

  • Lead quarterly engagement surveys, managing end-to-end process including researching and drafting questions, building the survey, reporting out the results, and creating and supporting action plans based on feedback.
  • Build out the process of people analytics, conducting advanced analyses across data sources, deriving frequent, wide-ranging employee insights throughout the employee journey using various channels.
  • Create continuous listening systems, building in touchpoints and gaining deep insights.
  • Lead new hire onboarding including facilitating new hire orientation, managing onboarding operations, seeking process improvements, maintaining onboarding surveys and collaborating with onboarding stakeholders.
  • Build out a best-in-class recognition program that motivates, inspires, and rewards employees.
  • Support Chegg Leadership Week, managing workstreams, partnering with stakeholders, and delivering with excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and support employee-centered programs, events, and initiatives.
  • You are an ideal candidate if:

  • You have 8+ years in employee experience, HR, or other related areas.
  • You are a strong communicator, collaborator, and team player.
  • You have demonstrated experience using analytics to inform decision-making.
  • You have experience in using data to tell compelling stories and inspire action.
  • You have experience with HRIS systems, including Workday.
  • You stay on top of the latest industry trends.
  • You have experience working with employee survey platforms, including Culture Amp.
  • You are highly collaborative and are a thought partner to create new and innovative processes.
  • You have experience managing multiple projects with competing timelines.
  • You have a strong work ethic, enjoy building and creating programs and have fun along the way.
  • You are passionate about Chegg's mission and culture.
  • The pay range for this position is $100,509 to $248,878. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors. In addition, Chegg offers a comprehensive benefits plan for eligible employees, including medical, dental, vision, life and supplemental life insurance, short-and long-term disability, mental health support, parental leave, paid time off, volunteer time off, paid holidays, 401(k) with matching contributions, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (H.S.A.) options, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, an Employee Referral Program, Tuition Reimbursement, and other benefits found at: Chegg Benefits.
