This individual will help create a strong vision for employer development and engagement, with a focus on developing and cultivating employer relationships that lead to hiring opportunities for all SUNY Old Westbury students.This is a twelve (12) month, part-time position requiring a flexible schedule of twenty (20) hours per week. This role will require local travel and it is understood that your professional assignment may include evening and/or weekend obligations.Duties:Employer Engagement* Engage employers in defining workforce needs, identifying hiring challenges and opportunities, and specifying skills and proficiencies needed to fill available roles.* Leads strategy for recruitment programs necessary to expand employment opportunities for students ensuring a mutually beneficial experience.* Consults and effectively collaborates regularly with staff to share industry and employer insights to create/implement services and programs that anticipate or respond to trends in the preparation, recruiting and hiring of students.Relationship Development/Management* Develops and maintains employer relationships; Coordinates and implements outreach to active employers.* Coordinates with employer partners to conduct on-campus employer focused events, info sessions, on-campus interviews, etc.* Educates employers on best ways to connect with students and on tools available to employers for student interaction and evaluation.* Collects feedback from employers and students on employer events to ensure quality delivery and mutual satisfaction.
