Has a strong working knowledge of operational aspects of: computer, paging, and radio systems
Has a proficient knowledge of radio communication procedures and etiquette and applies them correctly
Has a strong working knowledge of the NARMC EMS coverage area including all major highways and towns
Knows the dispatch protocols and performs all included duties
Keeps the dispatch area clean and organized at all times
Is proactive in mentoring students, new hires and co-workers
Employee has initiative, finds work, self-motivates, looks for ways to improve self and service
Qualifications:Experience:
Acquires CEUs as per certification level
Degrees, Licensure and/or Certifications:
EMT Arkansas License is required
Must have valid Class D drivers license
Must provide evidence of recertification of EMT certification bi-annually
BLS certification
National License is optional (preferred but not required)
Must have a copy of a diploma or offical transcript of the highest level of education
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates professional growth through independent study
Demonstrates attendance at continuing education offerings EMS related
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
May require successful completion of a physical abilities test.
