Compensation: $60-80K plus commission

What We Are Looking For

The NGE (Natural Gas and Electric) Energy Advisor for Commercial Customers is responsible for promoting and selling natural gas and electric supply services to commercial customers. The Energy Advisor shall assess each customer's risk tolerance, provide energy solutions to businesses by analyzing their natural gas and electric usage, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and deliver cost-saving and expense-controlling solutions. This role requires expertise in commercial energy systems, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with commercial clients to support their energy management goals.

What You Will Do

* Identify and prospect potential customers through various means such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and attending industry events.

* Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial customers regarding natural gas and electric energy supply solutions.

* Conduct and present energy assessments to analyze energy usage and identify efficiency opportunities.

* Develop customized energy strategies to meet the specific needs and goals of commercial clients.

* Provide recommendations for upgrades, including energy-efficient equipment and technologies.

* Set and achieve sales targets and goals, both individually and as a team, while consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics.

* Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and contracts using CRM software.

* Ensure adherence to all industry regulations, codes of conduct, and ethical standards in all sales activities.

* Develop relationships with all other company sales team members in creating cross-sell opportunities and product knowledge sharing.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients to drive customer satisfaction and retention.

* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and commercial energy forums.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the natural gas and electric industry, including regulations, pricing structures, and technological advancements.

What You Will Need

* Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

* 5+ years of experience in commercial energy services, sales, or customer relationship management or related field(s).

* Strong understanding of commercial natural gas and electric systems, energy efficiency measures, and renewable energy technologies.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and energy analysis tools; experience with CRM systems is a plus.

* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts.

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations.

* Is self-motivated; has a strong work ethic and strives to achieve all goals; is competitive and has a strong drive to win; takes appropriate risks.

* Is high energy, friendly and engaging; has excellent persuasion/negotiation skills; can persuade others to change their minds or behavior.

* Has a service orientation; is actively looking for ways to help people.
