COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $120000.00 to $140000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.?

Job Description

The Energy Manager leads the development of various initiatives that support New York City?s Local Law 87 and 98. This individual will be responsible for conducting comprehensive energy efficiency assessments and evaluations of the New York City building and facilities portfolio to identify inefficiencies, analyze utility consumption patterns, and develop customized energy management plans to optimize energy usage, reduce costs, and promote sustainability. In particular, this individual must be familiar with the procedures, requirements, and reporting described for a Level II energy audits and the NYC LL87 requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Have a particular focus on assessing a building?s energy usage to identify opportunities to switch from fossil fuel-based systems to electric alternatives.
  • Collect and analyze field data related to energy usage
  • Identify and prioritize energy savings measures
  • Inspect or evaluate building envelopes, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or process systems to determine the energy consumption of each system
  • Quantify energy consumption to establish baselines for energy use or need
  • Recommend energy efficient technologies, or alternate energy sources
  • Measure energy usage with devices such as data loggers, universal data recorders, light meters, flue gas analyzers, amp-probes, etc
  • Prepare audit reports containing energy analysis results or recommendations for energy cost savings
  • Prepare breakdown of energy usage by system and predicted annual energy savings in energy units by system after implementation of the proposed measure
  • Analyze technical feasibility of energy saving measures using knowledge of engineering, energy production, energy use, construction, maintenance, system operation, or process systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve the operation, maintenance, or energy efficiency of building or process systems.
  • Accurately manage and report-out project financials
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering field with 5+ years of experience in the support and implementation of energy efficiency audits
  • Professional Engineer License and/or Certified Energy Manager designation is preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of HVAC, boilers, chillers and control systems isrequired
  • Experience analyzing the operation of HVAC systems and controls to identify and implement no-cost and low-cost actions that will increase energy efficiency
  • Experience conducting with ASHRAE Level 1 and 2 energy audits
  • Strong organizational and computer skills are necessary, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (oral & written)
