Engagement Director & Senior Manager to help elevate their platform throughout expansion markets in the Northeast, including NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The
Engagement Director & Senior Manager works under the supervision of the CEO, and is primarily responsible for engaging and cultivating community located in the Northeast, which includes not only Scholar alumni, mentors, and other volunteers, but also the CRE industry, partner organizations and associations, and affiliated universities. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and innovative individual to work remotely with a small but mighty team based out of Chicago, dedicated to advancing and elevating women leaders in the male-dominated CRE industry. They achieve this goal through scholarship support for graduate study, mentorship, and networking opportunities for women with high potential who are committed to becoming leaders in the real estate industry. A day in the life of the successful
Engagement Director/Sr. Manager includes, but is not limited to:
- Engagement of Stakeholders across the Northeast:
- Planning, executing, and publicizing recruitment events at graduate school programs (at least 3 annually, generally in winter/spring), in coordination with the Client's team
- Planning & executing at least one networking event in New York, Boston, and Washington DC annually, in coordination with the Client's team
- Creating & managing a task force of committed stakeholders to meet regularly in the Northeast region. This group will also be responsible for recruiting a larger pool of volunteers to serve as mentors, etc.
- Developing & growing strategic relationships with key associations and universities in the Northeast
- Attending CRE industry events on a regular basis, networking & promoting the client and building relationships with industry contacts. Examples of in-person engagement events include:
- University-sponsored events
- Women's Network events at companies/organizations
- Scholar recruitment events
- Media/Industry events
- Real Estate program alumni events
- Online Community Management
- Owning & executing the roadmap for community initiatives
- Defining goals and objectives for the community and executing team
- Developing strong cross-functional relationships. Be an evangelist for the community internally
- Measuring & monitoring the performance of community initiatives and constantly iterate to improve
- Collaborating with the Program Director around immediate and long-term online community goals
- Providing coaching & support to groups leads to empower group initiatives and autonomy
- Assisting the core team in creating projects, news, and supporting materials to encourage transparency and community development
- Assisting the core team in creating & maintaining navigable documentation for existing processes, as well as advising on the implementation of new ones
- Acting independently & confidently across a wide variety of circumstances and situations
- Developing & maintaining resources and content to be delivered to group admins and community members
- Managing inbound communications and streamline tools offered in the community platform
Requirements The ideal
Engagement Director & Senior Manager candidate possesses the following skills & experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred: data management, communications, marketing, non-profit or business administration
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills are required. Management experience preferred
- Experience in the non-profit sector, real estate sector or university/educational sector is desirable
- Experience working with technology platforms such as online communities, CRM/database systems and project management systems is preferred
- Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Event-management skills are desirable

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a self-starter as well as collaboratively among a team
- Proficiency in MS Suite, Outlook required. Experience with Donor Management Systems (e.g. Little Green Light), Constant Contact, WordPress a plus
