WORK PERFORMED:- Assemble, tear down, reassemble, and rework complete engines, assemblies, subassemblies, accessory units, and driven equipment.
- Utilizing a working knowledge of turbomachinery products and working from operational paper, blueprints, written and/or oral instructions, or photographs. Disassemble and rebuild any Solar or customer turbomachinery product.
- Balance a variety of parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to Solar standards.
- Change accessible filters and lubricate own machine tools as required.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience using power tools and other equipment to perform troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
- Understanding of engineering schematics and blueprints
- Experience using general repair tools and equipment
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Willingness to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications:- 3-5 years of mechanical experience on Turbine equipment, installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Trade school Certificate/Diploma
Compensation & BenefitsBase rate for this role ranges from $16.30, to $38.69. Summary Pay Range:$23.00 - $38.69Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
