Purpose and Scope
Perform continuous and diligent analysis on supply chain availability, effectiveness, and reliability. Define and analyze short- and long-term requirements of all mission essential spare parts and operationally essential systems. Formulate solutions to optimize supply chains and part availability as well as optimizing inventory to meet customer and mission needs and resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Job Duties and Essential Responsibilities
1. Create/Update Logistic Support Analysis records to include Spare Parts Requirements Range/Depth, Shelf-life with little to no instruction on day-to-day work and new assignments.
2. Perform research and resolution of critical maintenance and supportability problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of identifiable factors.
3. Assist System Engineering as needed regarding parts availability, alternate parts assessment, and any other logistics supply issues for operationally essential systems and equipment.
4. Support the effort to determine and document Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) requirements and resources for assigned systems.
5. Actively participate and provide logistical expertise in applicable System Health and Readiness Program (SHARP) teams regarding Spare Parts Analysis and logistical issues related to OE systems and equipment.
6. Provide input to and actively support mission Readiness Reviews by determining and supporting reviews of all Mission Essential spare parts with a full understanding of specialization.
7. Coordinate and work closely with requester, other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and spare parts requirements.
8. Work side-by-side with logistics, Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, and the customer to identify Mission Essential spares and to support efforts to expedite the spares procurement and demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques to come to a solution.
9. Develop and maintain technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
10. Write task order requirements for spare part provisioning or Spare Parts Analysis (SPA) development to NASA customer as part of Operations & Maintenance Documentation (OMD) updates per contracted timeframes.
11. Author and maintain Essential Spares reports to support of Readiness Reviews for Artemis and 30 Day Readiness Reviews in support of other launches from both Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
12. Enter Electronic Work Requests (EWRs) for procurement of Essential spare parts to support mission essential systems/subsystems.
13. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Experience Requirements
1. Bachelors degree with 5+ years of job-related experience or 9+ years of job-related experience.
2. Excellent understanding in logistics and supply chains.
3. Good analytical skills.
4. Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel.
5. Strong communication skills, initiative, critical thinking, and work ethic.
6. Ability to multi-task and handle large volume of work.
Required Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to exercise sound judgement and reason.
Strong ability to use data and analysis to make fast data-driven decisions.
Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing and standard Microsoft Office software to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and understand schematics & blueprints.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Must possess general knowledge of office routines to include scheduling, general office administration, and a working knowledge of standard computer software.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges as required by program and position
Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written in an effective manner.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 20 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk downs in support of design projects and system trouble shooting Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
