Job Description:
This is working with the on-market support team
This team uses medical device instruments that are already released and used in the field, responsible for keeping these compliant and reviewing field complaints and supplier notifications when parts are out of conformance
Within a cross functional team for market support 2 mechanical engineers and 1 other systems engineer, electrical engineering, and a project coordinator for documentation
Responsible for writing verification protocols and testing (hands-on), report writing
Day-to-day:
Not customer interfacing
Every morning, they have a stand up with the team, talk about work in progress and help you would need (30 mins)
50% technical writing risk and requirements, verification protocols and reports
20% in the lab troubleshooting, testing solutions on the established devices
10% attending functional meetings, town hall meetings
20% - risk and requirement assessments and presentation creation and presenting
Experience:
Quality oriented role wants someone who has good attention to detail
Fast paced environment needs initiative
Need to come from a regulated industry pharma/device is highly preferred.
Troubleshooting, RCA, FMEA he said he cant expect that candidates are thorough in all the fields (given it being an associate level), so he is flexible with that
Degrees: any engineering degrees is fine (he said I dont think that it really matters)
Top 3 skills: Systems experience (hands-on), technical writing, FMEA (plus)
Open to hiring a bachelors graduate with only an internship that is spot on would prefer a bachelor with 1+ years of experience
Software: They use a Retina software, not required, its an internal software so he wouldnt expect anyone has this experience
Assessing how design changes can impact the assessments indirectly or directly they use the retina system here for data collection/analysis
Work a lot with nonconformances how they can remediate a part, evaluate if a part is no longer being manufactured, coming up with alternative solutions, design changes on current devices
There is a mechanical engineer that work directly with the design, design is not the key part to the role, design knowledge could be helpful though
