You will be directly responsible for producing precise manufacturing prints, conducting thorough print reviews, and confidently estimating timelines for design projects. JOB SUMMARY:This position is responsible for designing custom products such as service bodies, flatbeds, pickup packs, utility decks, and more. The ideal candidate will either have a Mechanical Engineering or related degree, or 3 years' experience in a related field using SolidWorks or a similar CAD program. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage design and development of a variety of product lines.
  • Coordinate effective product release and update processes.
  • Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs.
  • Provide project schedules and resource requirements.
  • Develop product specifications for new products.
  • Review, evaluate, and implement engineering changes and specification requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience with SolidWorks.
  • Experience managing product development from conception to production.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team setting.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE:
  • Familiar with SolidWorks Sheet Metal program
  • Familiar with sheet metal forming processes
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles
