Have you been responsible for engineering, design, and project management in support of installing and maintaining intermediate high pressure natural gas pipelines (below 60 psig) and system planning? - Engineering design, project proposals and estimates, materials procurement, planning, scheduling and coordinating projects on intermediate high pressure (IHP) natural gas system and related facilities
- Provide engineering support to Operations, Inspection, and Pre-Construction groups
- Run pipe network analysis using modeling software to determine sizing and design of natural gas mains and service lines as well as determine system needs and requirements for projects
- Perform calculations including gas system pressures, capacities, damage assessments, and economic feasibility
- Project management including preparing material quantities, price schedules, material estimates, request for bid (RFB), reviewing contract documents, handling change orders and construction observation
- Coordination with government agencies, property owners, developers, and other key project partners
- Gather, compile, and analyze information and data used in engineering tasks
- Perform facility records research as the need arises Who you are : You have:
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in addition to an engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution
- Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles in addition to the skilled use of advanced techniques and modification and extension theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and subject areas
- You can:
- Show strong leadership skills with the ability to serve as a project team lead to provide guidance to less experienced engineers
- Think analytically to solve complex problems as a validated decision maker while possessing strong planning, organizational and project management abilities
- Process information quickly and effectively managing multiple tasks while working independently and within a team environment You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator to include technical writing skills
- Able to interpret codes, regulations and practices
- Proficient in using computers and various applications with the ability to manipulate applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g. Excel, Synergi Gas, etc.) The following are considered assets:
- Professional Engineering license
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, civil or industrial engineering Working Conditions:
- Work performed in typical office environment 75%of the time with the remaining being exposed to the outdoors to include heat/cold and being around machinery
