Job Description :
The Opportunity: The Senior Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Engineer will be responsible for developing and integrating advanced PNT systems, ensuring precise and reliable performance in various applications. A focus will be on GNSS receiver and sensors supporting PNT, assessing performance, developing algorithms, and integrating hardware and software components into PNT systems. A broader understanding of satellite navigation, sensor fusion, and timing technologies will be applied to ensure resilient PNT technology across the PNT portfolio. This will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a cross-functional engineering team to support product development, new business opportunities, and low-level technology readiness assessments and developments. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the development and application of PNT algorithms and the deployment on an embedded hardware platform. Our Technology:We're the world leader in Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions that improve the reliability, performance, and safety of critical high-risk operations, even in GPS/GNSS denied environments. We provide virtually fail-safe GNSS and PNT solutions and applications for military and government contract customers. How I will Contribute: (I will align this)Develop, design and integrate PNT algorithms and systems, involving GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), Inertial navigation systems (INS), and timing solutionsDevelop, implement, and maintain advanced algorithms for sensor fusion, statistical anomaly detection and correction, and signal processing to enhance PNT accuracy and reliability (e.g. Kalman Filtering, Bayesian estimation, etc.)Analyze GNSS receivers, optimizing systems for signal accuracy, system stability, and data integrity.Model, simulate, and analyze the signal processing chain for GNSS receivers and software-defined-radio platforms, assessing signals for anomalies.Perform software and algorithm development, in C++, Matlab, and/or Python, for both real-time systems and modeling & simulation efforts in PNTEstablish frameworks and simulations to predict and test the performance of PNT algorithms and systems in various environments.Perform experimentation and prototyping of new PNT technologies and threat mitigation capabilitiesDevelop models and simulations of PNT sensors, including inertial measurement units and GNSS receivers, in support of integration within PNT products.Conduct extensive testing and validation of PNT systems in laboratory and field environments, analyzing performance metrics and troubleshoot issuesPrepare, maintain, and present detailed technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.Stay current with the advancements in PNT technologies and applications, contributing to the continuous improvement of products and solution.Work cross-functionally with team members to develop and implement new PNT capabilities What You Bring to the role: Bachelor's or Master's degree, or Ph.D in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Science or related field, Physics or Mathematics with a focus on signal process, algorithm development and/or optimization.
