We win together as one team!Under direct supervision from an assigned Manufacturing Engineer, provides support to production and the Manufacturing Engineering team. The role will participate in a variety of engineering projects to improve the manufacturing process. The ME Intern will work directly with Manufacturing Engineers daily both in the office and on the production floor.QualificationsMajor Accountability
  • Documentation of assembly processes, work instruction procedures, and plant layouts.
  • Assist with the coordination of Engineering change processes for new/modified products.
  • Perform time studies on manufacturing processes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain plant layouts and work instructions for Manufacturing while interacting with hourly employees and office personnel.
  • Using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, supports continuous improvement and lean initiatives with a focus on workflow, layout, single-point scheduling, Kaizen events, standardized work, and 5S
  • Supports and maintains work standards, product routings, and SOPs.
  • Recommends product design improvements to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly.
  • Performs workflow balancing and time studies
  • Works as a liaison between Manufacturing Engineers and production personnel.
  • Maximize efficiency by analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.
  • Consistently operate in a manner that aligns with the company's core values.

  • Bachelor's degree in process
  • 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Effectively communicates, written/oral: can connect and communicate with different audiences
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Able to lift 35 lbs, walk on the manufacturing floor, stand for extended periods of time, travel by air, or car.
