Engineering Manager - nuclear / defense / aerospace - CT19 : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, to join an organisation who specialize in complex radiation safety solutions. No prior experience of nuclear/radiation (advantageous) is required but you must have experience with highly complex electrical & mechanical, built to order, systems/products (aerospace, defense, military, nuclear, etc).

The Engineering Manager oversees the development and execution of engineering projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and staffing, while driving continuous process improvements in manufacturing. This role involves managing a team of engineers and technicians, developing engineering processes, and ensuring compliance with quality and customer requirements. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues, lead value analysis efforts, and optimize manufacturing processes. Experience in detailed electrical engineering design (Analog, Digital, Logic, Power Supply or RF), is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include creating and modifying schematics, developing test reports, managing new product designs for manufacturability, and implementing lean techniques. The role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and experience in detailed electrical design, including analog, digital, power supply, and RF systems. Familiarity with space, aerospace, or military electronics, as well as a continuous improvement mindset, is highly valued.
