TITLE: Engineering Recruiter

LOCATION: West Sacramento, CA (onsite)

TYPE: Contract (4-6 months)

PAY: $35-$40/hr DOE

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced Recruiter on a contract basis for a well-established construction company in the Greater Sacramento area! This would be a great opportunity for someone with experience sourcing and recruiting entry to professional level engineering/construction candidates looking to make an immediate impact during a period of high volume, critical hiring.

• Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, internal recruiting tools, and networking.
• Align recruitment activities with business needs, ensuring a clear understanding of hiring objectives and organizational goals.
• Implement targeted recruitment campaigns in collaboration with leadership, operations, and training teams.
• Review and screen candidate resumes to identify top talent.
• Conduct phone screenings, skills assessments, and on-site interviews. Coordinate job fairs and informational sessions as needed.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly hiring goals, ensuring consistent staffing levels across departments.
• Administer background checks, drug screenings, and new hire paperwork. Facilitate new hire orientation sessions.
• Provide regular reports on recruiting activities, challenges, and progress toward hiring targets.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment in construction/engineering required
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Recent experience in a fast-paced, production environment is highly desirable.
• Proficient in candidate sourcing and building talent pipelines.
• Experience managing candidate workflows in Applicant Tracking Systems.
• Exceptional customer service, collaboration, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Onboarding experience to include administering background checks and drug tests
• E-Verify experience helpful
• Demonstrates high trustworthiness, integrity, and respect, with a commitment to fostering teamwork.
