Tesla's Materials Engineering team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to focus on supporting the scaling of our coating's operations and product range. In this role, you will support the development of technically complex processes and equipment to deliver quality and efficient production yield. Responsibilities - Develop and support manufacturing processes from concept through serial production
- Conduct trials, testing, and report results to Engineering
- Assist with factory layout and simulation, including line balancing, capacity modeling, automation, and yield studies
- Support product launches, process validation, and qualification activities
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new lines, ensuring process performance through statistical tools (e.g., GR&R, SPC)
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and manufacturing reps
Requirements - 3+ years related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, where automated techniques are utilized in the finishing of consumer products
- Experience working with/developing functional/aesthetic finishing processes (e.g. paint, thermal spray, plating and other metal coatings, etc.)
- Experience in developing, executing and interpreting results of Design of Experiments (DOE)
- New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience
- Experience using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
- Well organized with meticulous attention to detail

Expected Compensation- Engineering Tech III - $28.56 - $42.84/hour
- Engineering Tech IV - $31.96 - $47.94/hour
- Engineering Tech V - $37.06 - $55.59/hour
