GENERAL PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support and documentation for the creation, modification, and maintenance of nonstandard products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop digital fabric patterns for automated cutting equipment. Create match points and pattern matching logic Support manufacturing associates through prototype and production builds Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fabric/leather cutting and pattern matching Create and modify bills of material (BOM) in the HMI Operating System, understanding the implications of BOM structure changes Design and modify parts to meet customer requirements within material specifications Read, create, and modify drawings to support customer requests Understand BOM codes such as inventory codes, P/C codes, and units of measure Make decisions based on sound engineering principles Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Applications, CAD, and Order Administration Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of delivered information Perform in a team environment to ensure 100% on-time completion of work Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience 2-4 years of experience in an engineering environment or as an Engineering technician Skills and Abilities Proficiency with PC-based computer systems and standard programs such as Excel and Word Read and comprehend routings Ability to apply basic engineering procedures and practices Capable of meeting deadlines and project completions Self-motivated and able to manage own workload Strong team player Mechanical aptitude for developing solutions to customer requests Ability to work under direct supervision Who We Hire?
