The Enhanced Foster Care Specialist position is responsible for the day to day functioning of the Enhanced Foster Care program.
Annual Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $53,800.00

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves a maximum caseload of eight (8) EFC children
- Provides treatment planning and leadership of the treatment team
- Participates in the recruitment, orientation and training of foster parents
- Works in-conjunction with the Foster Care Worker on intake of youth, placement and program evaluation
- Assists in driving and transporting clients when needed
- Completes and submits required CCWM, and WMPC documents, specific to EFC, within the required time frames
- Collaborates with Behavioral Aides to assist with appropriate behavioral health and mental health services to child and family to ensure appropriate services are being implemented and appropriately utilized
- Shows compliance with policies and procedures of DCWL, DHHS, contracts, standards, agency and program expectations
- Maintains contact with the child, biological family, caregiver, attorneys, therapists, school personnel and/or other service providers related to the implementation of the service plan
- Attends supervision, staff program trainings, and agency meetings

- Ability to relate to diverse populations and cultures while communicating with clients and the public in a courteous and effective manner
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
- Ability to meet requirements of all contracts, licensing regulations and State/Federal oversight
Recommended Employment Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree in social Work, sociology, psychology or a human service related area as specified by MSA and BCAL rules is required.
- A Master's Degree in a human services field is preferred.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years experience working in Child Welfare or Family systems along with experience in assessment and treatment planning is required.
- Completion of Child Welfare Training Institute (CWTI) is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- CWTI Certification
- State of Michigan Social Work licensure is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
