Job Type Full-time Description Position Summary Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Entertainment department. Serves as initial point of contact for all non-headliner inquiries. Coordinates event layout for food and beverage service, seating, live music, and other needs. Essential Functions

  • Coordinates all aspects of the Entertainment department (i.e. lodging, transportation, Food & Beverage, contracts, purchasing, ushers, banquets, event staff, etc.).
  • In the absence of the Entertainment Manager, oversees the operations of all entertainment and events and is the first point of contact for team members and guests.
  • Scout and pursue non-headliner entertainers utilizing current technology and in person means.
  • Maintain files and status reports for all aspects of production.
  • Assists in the timely completion of event contracts, payments, and additional event paperwork.
  • Coordinates event staff from start to finish to include scheduling, communicating event specific expectations, and monitoring start-up/shut down procedures, maintaining a clean and tidy backstage/office space.
  • Responsible to ensure performers or their crew have a clear understanding about their performances including the entry, exit and other essential things.
  • Sets up simple audiovisual technology such as sound system and event lighting.
  • Assists with the installation and removal of casino decorations.
  • Ensures Entertainment and Event information is updated and accurate online and in social media areas.
  • Maintains a professional image while representing Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously setting own priorities to ensure timely completion.
  • Disseminates information about all Entertainment and Events to appropriate departments.
  • Provides exemplary service for all internal and external customers.
  • Accesses the player tracking system and makes edits to the system as necessary.
  • Resolves guest inquiries and requests, including correspondence by phone, letter & email.
  • Other duties as directed.

Education High School Diploma or GED Bachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or Tourism preferred Experience Two years experience in Special Events or Concert/Theater production One year experience with working with Casino Promotion and Special Events preferred. One year clerical or office experience Computer Skills Microsoft Office intermediate level including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Player Tracking experience required; Oasis preferred. Certificates & Licenses Valid Driver's License Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License Other Requirements Working knowledge with outside vendors, bidding, scheduling, set-up and tear-down of events Working knowledge of light and sound operation preferred. Ability to work with microphone to make announcements during events. Able to work a flexible schedule with overtime as needed. Other Physical Requirements Vision: Near and Far Sense of Sound Work Environment Work will take place in a small office environment with occasional exposure to a busy resort and gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Occasionally the work environment will be in locations exposed to smoke and the associated effects. Working Conditions Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period. Salary Description $23.14-$32.80
