Primary Responsibilities:
- Reflect the core values of Skurffy Werks LLC d.b.a. Home Instead of Spokane.
- Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life.
- Maintain professional standards of communication and conduct with clients and other staff.
- Provide non-medical in-home care to our clients. Depending on the provided plan of care for a client, care may include some or all of the following tasks (this list is not exhaustive):
- Companionship and conversation
- Performing light housekeeping
- Washing and ironing laundry
- Meal Preparation and Kitchen Cleanup
- Provide stabilization and assistance with walking
- Provide medication reminders
- Provide appointment reminders
- Accompanying client on errands or appointments
- Transportation to errands or appointments
- Assisting with bathing and grooming
- Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues
- Advanced Alzheimer's/Dementia Care
- Hospice Care
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age. Legally employable in the USA.
- Able to lift, push or pull 25 pounds, and ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach as needed.
- Possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Able to speak, read and write English proficiently.
- Must have acceptable results for a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Maintain ongoing state requirements CEU's, Background checks, etc.
- Treat and care for clients and their property with dignity without regard to religion, race, sex, marital status etc.
- Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional, and congenial manner.
- Withstand exposure to occasional dust, mold, mildew, and cleaning solutions.
- Pursuing or in possession of an NAC or HCAC, or possess an exemption.
- Pursue ongoing professional training and learning.
