Entry-Level Controls Technician - Marvin : Job Details

Job Overview:

As an Entry-Level Controls Technician, you will be a vital member of the CEG Controls Team, providing essential electrical controls and programming support for manufacturing operations at Marvin's diverse family of brands. Collaborating closely with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and facility personnel, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting advanced manufacturing automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in understanding and programming PLCs to develop sequences for manufacturing equipment.
• Provide technical support for electrical controls and programming technologies.
• Maintain a list of control component installations and help mitigate risks associated with outdated or obsolete components.
• Assemble electrical control panels according to schematics, control diagrams, and applicable standards.
• Ensure timely delivery of project assignments.
• Support project completion independently or as part of a team.
• Apply effective communication and problem-solving skills along with knowledge of best practices to support the controls team.

Qualifications:

• Requires a field-related 2-year degree.
• Understanding of ladder logic, function block, and object-oriented programming languages.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical control schematics and documentation.
• Experience using electrical test instruments.
• Commitment to continuing education and staying current in the development industry.

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm, with any required overtime.
