Our client provides the #1 POS and Self-Service checkout solution to the largest retail customers across the globe. This role will be joining their US Service Installation and Break/Fix team to support the installation, upgrade, and break/fix of their hardware inside of their retail customers in an assigned territory.   • Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license & reliable vehicle with an excellent driving record & ability to drive across your assigned territory
  • Must be able to pass a standard drug, credit, and background check
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. without assistance, and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
  • Willing to be trained to operate small scale scissor lifts in retail environments to service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches

Requirements:

  • 1 year of previous working experience in field service technician, mechanical, construction, installation, or similar role (preferred but not required)
  • Basic understanding of PC & electronic skills as well as hardware and operating systems
  • Ability to handle situations under pressure and deliver excellent customer service
  • Professional Written and Oral Communication
  • Must be able to work overnight and weekend shifts on an ongoing basis
  • Must have a reliable android or apple cell phone device

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous POS (point of sale), Self Service Checkout, ATM, vending machine break/fix and installation experience
  • Prior experience supporting retail or restaurant clients, installing various hardware & Software devices
  • Mechanical experience or exposure in a school or hobby setting

Responsibilities:

  • Service retail checkout and POS systems for customers within an assigned territory. This includes maintenance, repairs, PM work and overhauls.
  • Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively to ensure the customer is 100% satisfied
  • Driving to customer locations to complete service calls
  • Operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail environments to service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches
  • Bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, working with your hands, and repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying size
