St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center is a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders. As a key member of Hartford HealthCare, you will contribute to one of Connecticut's largest mental health service providers.

Job Summary:

As a Graduate Nurse, you will be granted temporary practice privileges while awaiting the results of your licensing examination, valid for up to 90 days following graduation. This position offers you the opportunity to provide holistic, quality, and efficient nursing care under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.

Your responsibilities will include applying the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice while delivering comprehensive care tailored to patients and their families. You will report directly to the Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate from an accredited nursing program. An Associate degree is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. If hired with an Associate degree, you must obtain your BSN within 6 years of your start date.
• Application for CT RN license must be completed and obtained within 90 days of graduation.
• Ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate effective patient care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
