An industry leading heavy manufacturing company is looking for an EHS Manager to support their facility in the Dayton, Ohio area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs and policies, leading training, maintaining safety records, leading audits, implementing corrective action, and maintaining compliance at the site.
The Role:
- Develop and drive the implementation of leading metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and drive the implementation strategy to reduce cost associated with job related injury and regulatory compliance.
- Direct the evaluation of areas for hazards and make recommendations for improvement.
- Lead incident investigation, safety audits, corrective action and safety training.
- Provide technical expertise to the business unit regarding day-to-day process operations, process changes and /or relocations, new processes, new products, new technology, new facilities and equipment.
- Ensure all plant policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Maintain records, reports, and logs regarding safety incidents, including OSHA regulations, recordkeeping and reporting
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent required.
- ASP or CSP certifications preferred
- Master's degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of EHS experience in a heavy manufacturing setting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Ability to demonstrate ground up implementation of programs and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
