Manufacturing client seeks a Safety Health and Environmental Manager with a background in manufacturing and strength in safety engineering. This company has a generous pay scale and excellent benefits. The company wants to find a degreed EHS Specialist with experience in safety, employee health/hazards, environmental management, and compliance.
Working with a broad knowledge of Federal, State, and local safety rules, and a detailed knowledge of safety engineering principles, you will work toward reducing accident hazards and exposures. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements, such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other rules that affect the organization.
You will work on the establishment of policies and directions concerning EHS. You will implement the EHS program, in compliance with corporate and government policies. You will provide compliance reporting. Will conduct workplace surveys, safety audits, safety assessment, accident investigations. Will be responsible for safety trainings. Some experience with OSHA programs such Lockout-Tag-out, Emergency Response and other related OSHA requirements is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
BS degree in EHS (Environmental, Safety, and Health Engineering), Safety Engineering, or similar is required.
The emphasis in this position is on Safety Management in a manufacturing setting. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.
Must have at least three years of paid, post-graduation industrial experience, in EHS Engineering in a manufacturing environment. Must also have at least two or three years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, regulatory safety legislation, and Worker's Compensation Claims Management.
Familiarity with local, State, and Federal EHS compliance regulations is required.
Should have experience in developing and implementing necessary training programs in key areas such as Lock Out / Tag Out, machine guarding, electrical safety, confined space, and hazard communications.
