Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead workplace safety and environmental compliance efforts at our facility. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs that ensure regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, including permits, audits, and reporting.
  • Oversee wastewater treatment operations and maintain NPDES permits.
  • Conduct safety training, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Lead emergency response efforts and safety committee initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to implement proactive safety measures and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all safe work practices and equipment.
  • Monitor and manage company process wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with discharge regulations for heavy metals, temperature, pH, fats, oils, greases, BODs, and TSS.
  • Coordinate boiler and pressure vessel inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, analyze trends, and develop solutions to reduce future risks.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on incident investigations and provide guidance to leadership.
  • Ensure contractor personnel comply with company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review near misses, accidents, and incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with HR and operational leadership.
  • Oversee employee training on OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and workplace safety best practices.
  • Serve as the lead investigator for significant safety incidents and develop training programs to enhance hazard identification.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, Root Cause Analysis, and Hazard Identification.
  • Experience managing wastewater treatment systems and working with regulatory agencies.
