Join Tradebe Environmental Services as an Environmental Approvals Manager and lead the optimization of waste management strategies across four treatment plants. With your expertise in regulatory compliance and a deep understanding of facility capabilities, you'll ensure waste moves from customer sites to our facilities in a compliant and safe manner, all while optimizing transportation and disposal costs. Based in Meriden, CT, with a hybrid schedule and relocation assistance available, you'll also gain insight into the permitting capabilities of locations across the U.S. to help shape efficient, sustainable solutions that maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Waste Profile Management & Customer Experience

• Collaborate with Customer Experience and Sales teams to create, review, and approve accurate customer profiles, ensuring timely issue resolution for optimal customer outcomes.
• Interface with customers to reduce touchpoints and streamline waste profile creation and management, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.

Regulatory Compliance & Waste Assessment

• Provide regulatory guidance on EPA, DOT, and State designations to ensure waste materials meet compliance standards.
• Approve wastewater streams and work closely with Quality teams to resolve any issues, ensuring materials are acceptable for permits or finding alternative treatment options.

Cost-Effective Waste Treatment Solutions

• Evaluate and select the most cost-effective treatment options for waste streams, balancing treatment, labor, material, equipment, and transportation costs.
• Ensure waste disposal profiles are approved and aligned with the most efficient and sustainable treatment solutions.

Cross-Department Collaboration & Communication

• Actively participate in Customer Experience and Sales meetings to provide guidance, training, and ensure clear communication across teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships between Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations to drive cohesive project execution.

Technical Support & Training

• Provide expert technical guidance to Customer Experience Representatives on hazardous waste management and troubleshooting.
• Assist in the training of technicians and lab personnel on process codes and waste management best practices.

Process Optimization & Auditing

• Routinely audit shipments for routing compliance and load optimization, ensuring efficiency in transportation and cost management.
• Verify and compare actual transportation costs to estimates, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in waste profiling, approvals, or materials management.
• In-depth knowledge of EPA, RCRA, DOT, and wastewater regulations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on driving solutions.
• A passion for environmental sustainability and operational excellence.
