Successful candidates will be trained and certified. Although not required, candidates with NYDOL Inspector certification and experience performing hazardous materials building surveys are strongly encouraged to apply. • Science, Engineering, or related degree preferred
• A valid New York State driver's license
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Understanding of building composition and systems
• A positive attitude with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Experience with Word and Excel software programs
• High regard for client service and satisfaction

Environmental Building Inspector Responsibilities:

• Perform office and field assignments as required
• Lead asbestos and hazardous materials survey personnel for directed assignments
• Review and distribute laboratory analysis reports
• Maintain regulatory compliance related to building materials inspections
• Preparation and distribution of technical reports
• Maintain equipment and ensure safe sampling protocols are followed
